Simple Ways to Get Marks Off Your Wall

No matter how hard you try, your walls can be blemish-free only for a short time. Hence, you must always be ready with your cleaning materials and skills to bring back its pristine look before those marks become permanent scuff on the wall.

When cleaning your walls, here are some reminders you must keep in mind. Observing them will keep you from damaging your walls during the cleaning process.

  • Whenever possible, use basic or home-made cleansers before using chemicals.
  • Be gentle when scrubbing the wall to keep the paint coming off.
  • Try your cleaning technique somewhere else before before doing it on your wall.

Attack the mark or stain right away. As soon as you see a mark on your wall, wipe it off right away using a sponge and plain water. More often than not, fresh wall stains can be easily removed with these.

Use unconventional strategies. One wall cleaning strategy you might want to try is wiping the wall with a tennis ball. Get a tennis ball. Cut an X on it and attach a broom stick on it for a handle. Then, clean your stained wall using it.

Try a natural stain remover. Baking soda is famous for its ability to remove almost all types of stains. Mix four tablespoons of the baking soda to one quart of warm water. Use a damp sponge to apply it on wall marks. You can also a plain, non-gel toothpaste if baking soda is not available.

Use some suds. Have you ever tried Ivory liquid soap in cleaning your walls? Dilute a part of Ivory liquid soap in water. Mix the soapy concoction well until it becomes bubbly. Soak a clean rag with it to wipe down stains on your wall.
